Taylor Swift raises $750,000 for tornado victims

Country music starlet Taylor Swift has thanked her fans for helping to raise funds for the victims of the tornadoes in the US. On Saturday, Taylor raised $750,000 for the Community Foundation of Tennessee and the recent tornado victims by opening her final Speak Now dress rehearsal at the Bridgestone Arena to the public and streaming some of the performance online. She called the Nashville, Tennessee event Speak Now, Help Now and says she really enjoyed the night. The 21-year-old told Access Hollywood: "It was so wonderful. "It was almost like playing our first show because were playing for 13,000 people and it is the whole show the way we would do the last dress rehearsal and I'm just so excited that we got to raise $750,000 dollars for the victims of the tornadoes." Swift also said she was touched by people's generosity. She added: "It was such a wonderful night and I'll never forget it - the fact that that many people on last minute's notice wanted to come out and pay for their tickets and donate that money to them." Raising $750,000 wasn't Taylor's only big accomplishment over this past weekend. The Story Of Us singer also took home three major Billboard awards including Top Country Artist, Top Country Album for Speak Now, and the Top 200 Albums Award.
